Mission Statement The mission of the Faith Formation Ministry at St. James Cathedral is to bring people into an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ lived out in the Catholic Church. We are committed to serving the entire parish family; providing on-going faith formation at every level of parish life, through prayer, worship, knowledge of the faith, moral formation, service, and fellowship. We at St. James Cathedral are committed to forming disciples of Jesus Christ. Faith must be known, celebrated, lived, and expressed in prayer. In our efforts to teach as Jesus taught, we strive to:
Adult Bible Study
Why Catholic? Why Catholic? is an adult formation program based on the Cathechism of the Catholic Church. Participants meet in small faith sharing groups which meet for 6 weekly sessions, with each session lasting about 90 minutes. Sessions are held 2 times per year, during the Advent and Lent seasons. Eucharistic Adoration Eucharistic Adoration is the adoration of Jesus Christ present in the Holy Eucharist. The Eucharist is displayed in the monstrance, and people come to privately pray and worship Jesus continually throughout the morning. Times....

Religious Education St. James Cathedral Religious Education Program is committed to leading all persons to a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and the Church through ongoing formation and conversion. The program aims to proclaim the mysteries of the faith, to foster and share community, to lead in worship and prayer, and to motivate to service. In other words, the program strives to show who Jesus Christ is, proclaim His life and ministry, and to present the Christian faith as the following of His person.
