We want to welcome Deacon Dave Gray who is newly assigned to St. James Cathedral.  Deacon Dave comes to us from Resurrection in Winter Garden where he was been a parishioner since returning to Orlando in 1994.  Deacon Dave is married to Christeen (Chris) of 36 years; they have two daughters both married and three grandchildren.  Dave and his family have roots in Orlando and spent 20 years in the United States Air Force between 1974 and 1994.  He spent the next ten years working in industry as an Accountant and Contracts/Procurement Manager.  Deacon Dave was ordained a deacon on June 11, 2005 and is currently the Director of the Permanent Diaconate for the Diocese of Orlando where he is responsible for the diaconate community of more than 185 deacons.  Dave loves playing the guitar/singing, woodworking, and spending time with the family.  His ministries include scripture study, RCIA, working with the homeless and visitations to the elderly or those who are sick.
