The liturgical space at St. James is decorated for particular celebrations, feasts and seasons by members of the Art and Environment ministry.

Banners and hangings of various sorts are both popular and appropriate. Their purpose is to appeal to the senses and create an appealing atmosphere. Flowers, plants and trees are also used to decorate the liturgical space.

Decorations are not confined to the altar area but are used throughout to create unity and active participation of the entire assembly.

The purpose of this ministry is to enhance the worship area to the glory of God.
