St. James provides a supervised environment for infants and young children so that parents and other family members can attend Mass with limited disruptions.

The St. James Nursery accepts children from three months to 3-years old during the 9 o’clock and 10:30 a.m. Masses.

The children gather in a free play area or sit and listen while adult caregivers read the stories. There is no cost for the service.

The St. James Nursery also runs a “Mom’s Day Out’’ program for children ages 16 months to 3-years-old. The program is available Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Cost ranges from $30 to $40 per day.

The Nursery is in need of volunteers for both the Mass and Mom’s Day Out Programs. Volunteer must undergo a background check and be fingerprinted by the Diocese of Orlando before joining the ministry.
